The focus of Functional Forests is on land that can be leased from the private or public sector. All types of land are suitable for establishing Functional Forests, but not all species can be grown on all types of land. Our aim is to design, implement, maintain and spread purpose-based Functional Forests by identifying the most effective associations within local environmental, economic and social conditions. Functional forests can serve many purposes at the same time, such as food, medicine, building material, fibre, or they can serve a single purpose, such as the production of animal feed.

Functional Forests, play a critical role in ensuring food security in a changing climate, while maintaining long-term ecological balance.

The establishment and management of Functional Forests is based on two basic principles. Life cycle and succession. In this context, you can start generating cash flow in a short period of 1-2 months, as the established Functional Forests contain annual species for at least 5 years, depending on the location.
